Last month in Aistear the junior and senior infants really enjoyed learning about animals and taking care of their pets. In pretend play they took on roles such as a vet, receptionist, veterinary nurse, pet owner and in some cases dogs and cats. They brought in their toy animals to school. They made kennels and crates in construction as well as animal masks. Using play doh they put bandages on dogs, made cages, dog treats and pets.
