We have been having a great time this week during our first Active Schools Week.  6th Class have been enjoying a week of sailing in the RCYC while Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class have all been finishing their exciting week of swimming.  On Monday we had Tennis as well as well as lots of Physical Activity breaks during the day.  Tuesday we had Sarah and Isaacs dad come in and teach us Athletics which was great fun while on Wednesday we started the day off with a Walk on Wednesday stroll from the tennis courts.  Over the last few weeks the children have been learning lots of new dances in Physical Education (PE) and we had a school performance of ‘The Cuckoo Song’, ‘Siege of Ennis’, ‘Walls of Limerick’ and ‘The Nutcracker’.  Thursday was our Walk for Water trip, which saw the whole school going on a walk to raise awareness and funds.  They walked to the community centre where everyone filled up 1lt, 2lt, 3lt, and even 5 lt bottles of water and walked back up to school. Below are just a selection of the photos from our fantastic Active Schools Week and thank you to everyone who took part and helped out.  For more information on the Active School Flag, check out the tabs above under activities.
